Two weekends ago was another weekend spent catching up on things around the house and enjoying time in the area where I live.
Two Sundays ago in the evening I went for a paddle on a local river. Since it had rained almost the whole week before that, the water was pretty high and flowing more quickly than usual. I also discovered that different wildlife comes out when the water is high. I saw muskrats 4 times, and I think in all the other times I've been on that river (10-20 times), I've only seen a muskrat one other time. Which reminds me of a song....it's Uncle Bex's favorite! ;-)

Beautiful view near the end of the paddle.
I also did some grilling on my new grill with mixed results. And trimmed a bunch of bushes and trees and stuff. And have kept busy playing beach volleyball and softball and stuff. It seems the weather knows when it's Monday or Tuesday because it rains or threatens rain most of the time in June and May on those days. I'm also riding my bicycle more - and had to change a tire once. It goes surprisingly quickly in my opinion.

Perfectly done pork chops a couple weeks ago.

Not so perfectly done a week or so later. They were literally on fire as I pulled them off the grill, and they stayed on fire for several seconds afterward. Good thing they were only $2.99 a pound or something like that. A waste of good neat and marinade.
That's it for now.
