From: Unknown

A month or so ago at work, our group had a potluck.  I brought some taco soup in a Crock Pot (yes, an honest-to-goodness Crock Pot).  I plugged it in an outlet in one of the break areas, so to keep people from eating it before lunch and just for fun, I wrote a note near it that said, "Do not eat - laced with arsenic and cyanide."  When I stopped by a couple hours later to see how things were cooking, someone else had written a note that said, "I couldn't resist, sorry!!  Tasted good, but I feel dizzy....."  This made my day.  I have no idea who wrote it, but it sure was funny.  I guess somebody else cleaned up the body before I got there.

In unrelated news, our study this evening was Matthew 23.  It's a good chapter to read to make us think about not being hypocrites.  I happened to read the first half of Jeremiah 17 this morning, and I thought they related well to each other.

The AC service guy was here last Friday (July 24th), so after that I left the AC running.  It feels nice, especially since it's been near 80 or above 80 for many days in a row now.  With lots of humidity and not so much wind.  July 24th is a respectable date.  It doesn't set any records, but it's respectable.

That's all I've got today.

Weren't you afraid of the old "Now 2 of these watermelons are poisoned" situation with your crockpot?
Great note, though. Had I been there I would have written it.
